Imagine Lyrics:

Imagine there's no countries

It isn't hard to do

Nothing to kill or die for

And no religion too

Imagine all the people

Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer

But I'm not the only one

I hope someday you'll join us

And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions

I wonder if you can

No need for greed or hunger

A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people

Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer

But I'm not the only one

I hope someday you'll join us

And the world will live as one

a) What is the theme/message of this song/poem?

b) How do you connect with the song?

a) I think the theme of this song is peace and to think about the positive things that are happening instead of the bad and to just imagine a world without violence, greed etc. I would think he was asking us to imagine a place where things that divide us (religion,possessions...) did not exist. In think that he probably felt it would be better and it encouraged him to write a song.

b) I connect to this song by imagining that this message is a strong and bold message that has a beautiful melody. I think John Lennon realized that the 'softer' approach would bring the song a wider audience, who would hopefully appreciate and listen to his message.

A Tweeku is a combination of a Haiku Poem and a tweet. It is three lines long and consists of 140 characters.

The Day In The Life Of Stanley
Stanley goes to a juvenile camp in a dry desert,
Where he learns how to work in a team,
Gains trust and improves his relationships in life.

English Task

Animal crackers
If  I could choose to be an animal, I would be a liger. A liger is a lion crossed between a tiger. I would like to be a liger because they are very rare to find and they are beautiful animals. Why I would like to be a liger is because I think they have lots of pride and are very different from other animals.
